Scale Display toolbar

The Scale Display toolbar contains the following controls:

 

A combo box that allows you to select a Scale Definition
A dot-matrix display to view the current scale weight
A toggle button to lock an unlock the current scale weight

Selecting a Scale Definition

 

A list of all Scale Definitions that have been added is contained in the Scale Name control located to the left of the Scale Display control. In the example below, control is being used to switch the current Scale Definition from Scale1 to Scale2.

Scale Display

 

The Scale Display control is used to display the current scale weight or to display scale related error messages to the user. Below are some examples of what you might see on the Scale Display control.

The scale weight is stable. The colour lime green is the default pixel colour used to indicate that the weight is stable.

The scale weight is in motion.  The colour white is the default pixel colour used to indicate that the weight is in motion.

The communications port that has been specified for the Scale definition that has been selected is no longer available. The colour red is the default pixel colour used to indicate that this is a error.

No data has been detected at the communication port. The colour red is the default pixel colour used to indicate that this is a error.

 

The background and pixel colours can be changed using the Scale Definition Editor.

 

Locking the scale weight

 

The scale weight can be locked and unlocked by toggling the Lock2 button. When the button is up, the Scale Display control is updated to show the latest data that was received from the scale's digital weight indicator. When the button is down, the Scale Display control is no longer updated. In the example below the scale weight is locked.
