The Scale Definition Editor is used to add, edit and delete Scale Definitions. Start the Scale Definition Editor by click Scale > Definition Editor from the main menu toolbar.

The group bar

The group bar contains two controls: Tasks and Definitions.
▪ | The Tasks group contains items that allow you to add, save, undo, and delete Scale Definitions. |
▪ | The Definitions group contains items which represent the Names of all existing Scale Definitions. To perform a task on an existing definition, click on one of the items in the Definitions group. |

The Properties control

The Properties control allows you to specify the characteristics or properties of each Scale Definition.
▪ | The General tab is used to provide a Name for a definition and to specify the manufacturer or type of digital weight indicator the definition applies to. |
▪ | The Communication Port tab is used to specify where and how data will be received from the digital weight indicator. |
▪ | The Data Packet tab is used to specify how the data the digital weight indicator sends is formatted. |
▪ | The Display tab is used to specify how the data will appear to the user. |
