The Tare In operation is used to record the weight of a Truck when it is empty. The empty weigh of a Truck is called it's tare weight. The tare weight can be recorded manually or automatically.

 

When a Truck is tared in the following information is updated:

 

 

When you tare in a Truck, you should be recording its empty weight. If your intention is to record gross weight of a Truck for an In/Out transaction, you should use the Weigh In operation instead.
