The Tare control is used to display (and possibly update) the Tare weight for the current Truck.

Updating a Tare weight

You always have the option of manually updating the current Trucks Tare weight prior to printing a ticket. Use the Tare control to specify a new Tare weight.

When you print a ticket, the Truck's Tare column will be updated with the value in the Tare control. In addition, the value of the Manual Tare column will be set to true.

Enabling the Tare control

The Tare control can be enabled and disabled using the Enable check box to the right of the Tare control. When Enabled is checked, you can select the Tare control and manually (type) edit the Tare weight

To change the default setting of the Enabled control, use the Environment Settings dialog.

Auto and Manual Tare

In the example below, the Tare control is enabled and the Tare weight is an Auto Tare. The A symbol indicates that 12650 is an Auto Tare.
