The term port delay (often referred to in the manuals as Stream Delay or Transmission Delay) refers to the setting that inserts a time gap between serial transmissions.

M2000 and M2000A

In these models, this setting is called Transmission Delay or the Serial port update rate.

 

Parameter: 65

 

Function: Inserts a delay between transmissions on COM1 and COM2 when they are in continuous output mode.

 

Values: 0 to 100

Increments

Each unit represents approximately 1/16 of a second.

 

0: Fastest output (no delay).

4: Approximately 1/4 second.

8: Approximately 1/2 second (recommended if a scoreboard is behaving erratically).

16: Approximately 1 second.

32: Approximately 2 seconds.
