Weigh in

When weighing in, if a Truck is:

Delivering: it should be loaded (you will be recording a Gross weight) when it weighs in

Picking up: it should be empty (you will be recording a Tare weight) when it weighs in

Here is an example of Truck delivering to our location.

1.The loaded Truck moves on to the scale. Its loaded (Gross) weight is 69420 kg.

2.If you are able to specify the Truck, Driver, Customer and Order when a Truck Weighs In, do so. If you can't, any or all of the values can be assigned prior to Weighing Out.

3.If the Truck is loaded, it's a good idea to record the Material that is being weighed.

4.If it makes sense, you can use the Zone, Location 1 and Location 2 values to record where Material is being received from or where it is being shipped to.

5.Use the Notes field to record meaningful information such as:

a.The make, model and/or colour of a Truck

b.The quantity of Material a Customer has requested

c.The condition of a load of Material (50% brick,  50% waste for example)

6.Finally, click the Weigh In button to record the current scale weight, time and date and any of the of the other values you have supplied.

The Truck now proceeds into the yard to unload. Once unloaded, the Truck will return to the scale empty where it will be Weighed Out.
