When Dispatch starts, normally the Connect to Database dialog is displayed so that you can provide a User ID, Password and select a Data Source to connect to. The alternative method is to store the information needed to connect to a particular Data Source in a text file named login.txt. Login.txt must be located in same folder as the application.

 

There are three connection options that can be stored in the file are as follows: USER NAME, PASSWORD and ODBC DSN.

 

USER NAME=dba

PASSWORD=sql

ODBC DSN=Dispatch1
