Data Packet

A Data Packet consists of a string of characters transmitted by a digital weight indicator. The Data Packet either begins with Start string and ends with End string OR contains exactly the number of characters specified by the Packet length property. The current value displayed by the digital weight indicator is also contained within the Data Packet.

Start:

First characters of a data packet

End:

Last characters of a data packet

Packet length:

The number of characters in the data packet including (if specified) the Start and End characters (Optional)

 

When Packet length is greater than 0, the Start and End character string properties are ignored.

 

When debugging, try setting Packet Length to 1 and uncheck Show Ctrl Characters. Each character that is received will appear on the Scale data control.
