Automatic (auto, automatically) is a term used to indicate that a weight has been captured directly from a scale via it's digital weight indicator. The weight information must be transmitted electronically from the indicator to the computer without intervention or manipulation by the scale operator.
Manual is a term used to describe a weight that has not been captured directly from your scales digital indicator. For example, any weight value that is manipulated with the keyboard is considered a manual weight.
