The terms inbound and outbound are used to describe the two main processes of a transaction in which a Truck is weighed in and out to determine the Net weight of the transaction.

 

When you receive a commodity, the inbound weight will be the Gross weight and the outbound weight will be the Tare weight.

 

When you ship a commodity, the inbound weight will be the Tare weight and the outbound weight will be the Gross weight.
