The button is labeled Print because, more often than not, clicking it initiates the creation and printing of a new ticket.

To be quite honest, the label could be Create, Save And (Most Likely) Print. Clicking Print ALWAYS causes a new Ticket be created and saved but not every Ticket has to printed.

A Ticket will NEVER be printed before it is has been saved. NEVER EVER.

Tickets are always saved to the database and then recalled from the database prior to being printed.
