In order to automatically read a weight from your scale, it must be connected to your computer. This is almost always done by connecting the digital weight indicator that is connected to your scale to a communication port (e.g. RS232) on you computer. To do this you will need:
A digital weight indicator with an RS232 output
A cable to connect the indicator to the computer
An available serial port on the computer to connect the cable to
If your digital weight indicator was manufactured in within the last 10 years, it likely has a compatible RS232 output. If you are unsure, please contact us.
Once your scale is connect to your computer you can setup a Scale Definition to describe it using the Scale Definition Editor.
